Private Lessons: I have been teaching privately for many years. I can deliver lessons near my home in Haddington or I have some space for online lessons. I can also come to you if we can arrange it. I usually teach Thursday day times and Friday and Saturday mornings. As a visiting tutor I have visited Broughton High School, Strathclyde University, Newcastle University, Edinburgh University, G.I.T in London, Perth College and many others. I have been working at theRoyal Conservatoire of Scotland since 2008 and teach on the Jazz Degree and Masters course. I also teach on the Trad music course.

 I teach regularly with Mario Caribe at the Tolbooth in Stirling where we run jazz workshops on Monday evenings (from 5pm onwards). If you are between 11 and 18 they are free. There is a beginners and advanced group please contact the tolbooth for details or visit tolboothjazz.com.

My Education

As well as countless hours of private study I have studied at the Leeds College of Music, have a Post Graduate in ‘Advanced Jazz' from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, a BSc Hons in 'International Studies' from the Open University.and completed a ‘Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Arts Learning and Teaching’

from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland n 2018.
